It will be experience versus talent when world-renowned Filipino master cue artist Efren “Bata” Reyes meets US teenage billiard prodigy Austin Murphy at the Viewers Choice Ultimate 8-Ball Challenge Match slated on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila).

The match between the Filipino pool legend and the 14-year-old Murphy will be preceded by an “undercard” Straight Pool match between Oliver Ortmann of Germany and John Schmidt of the US

The matches will be broadcast live on the International Pool Tour (IPT) Web site for free at 8 p.m. Eastern time in the US.

According to its web site (www.internationalpooltour.com), the IPT Ultimate 8-Ball “Viewers Choice” challenge match called on pool fans world wide to pick the players for this free live broadcast.

“Pool fans responded and their voice determined that the match would put the teenager Austin Murphy in a position to prove himself as a professional against the game’s living legend Efren Reyes,” the IPT said.

The match is the fourth live challenge match of the Ultimate 8-Ball challenge match series.

IPT Tour Director Deno Andrews is hoping that Filipino pool fans will register and watch the matches in the IPT Web site where the quality of the streaming was reportedly good in the last match that was broadcast.
