Miley Cyrus almost quit

tHannah Montana star Miley Cyrus almost came close to calling it quits from show biz because of the hue and cry caused by her provocative Vanity Fair photos. Anna Maria Perez De Tagle, a pal and Hannah Montana co-star of Cyrus, revealed the news. De Tagle, who plays as Cyrus’ sidekick Ashley on the hit kids TV show, admitted that she has had to boost her friend“s morale during several phone calls, as she has been feeling a little down of late.
There was such a big fuss about the picture, which appeared in Vanity Fair, showing a topless Cyrus, wrapped only in a bed sheet on, that the 15-year-old actress was forced to apologize for upsetting family groups and parents across America. According to Perez de Tagle, the whole controversy has been tough on her friend.

Disney starts production on ‘Hannah Montana’ film

Walt Disney Pictures has started production on “Hannah Montana: The Movie.”
The movie — which is slated for a spring 2009 release and was filmed in Los Angeles and Nashville — stars actress-singer Miley Cyrus in her first full-length feature film.
The comedy adventure is directed by Peter Chelsom and based on the Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana,” in which Cyrus stars as a teenage girl who lives a secret life as a pop star.
The “Hannah Montana” series reaches more than 164 million visitors worldwide and has been ranked the No. 1 series among children 6 to 16 for two consecutive years, a release says.
Both Walt Disney Pictures and the Disney Channel are part of Burbank’s Walt Disney Co.

Jonas Brothers, New Kids on the Block, Miley Cyrus Perform In Zootopia

A glance around New Jersey’s Izod Center during Saturday night’s Z100 Zootopia show revealed a divided audience: there were teenage girls clutching Jonas Brothers T-shirts, tote bags and posters, and onetime-teenage girls decked out in the same attire for the recently reunited New Kids on the Block. The Jonas gang kicked off the night to earsplitting shrieks with a half-hour set of carefully choreographed rock & roll moves, down to Kevin Jonas’ guitar spins.

Miley Cyrus accused of stealing LA band’s song

Miley Cyrus has been rocked by another scandal just two weeks after the furore surrounding her provocative Vanity Fair photographs – now she’s accused of ripping off someone else’s song.
Los Angeles band Lustra claim Cyrus’ Rockstar hit is a carbon copy of their ‘Scotty Doesn’t Know’ tune, which appeared on the soundtrack to 2004 movie ‘Eurotrip’.
And they are inviting Cyrus fans who love her song to check out “the original” on their MySpace.com web page.
Lustra were alerted to the similarities between the songs by fans and they listened to both tracks and the bandmates claim the tunes are virtually the same – with separate lyrics.

Miley Cyrus Thanks Fans At California Concert

Miley Cyrus thanked fans for their support at her performance on Saturday at KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango show in Irvine, California.
“We’re all changing,” the 15-year-old singer told the crowd, according to People.com. “I thank you for helping me as I grow through that.”
During her 30-minute set, Cyrus didn’t directly address the racy photos that appeared in Vanity Fair and on the Internet, the site reported, and managed to avoid speaking with reporters by not walking the event’s red carpet. But, as she did last weekend at her Disney Games appearance in Orlando, Florida, she thanked fans for supporting her “through everything that’s been going on in life.”
